Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

We, NexGen Orbit Labs (“we”, “us”, “our”), built BrainTox (“App”). This Policy applies to the App across all platforms, regardless of where you downloaded it (Google Play, App Store, Galaxy Store, other marketplaces), and to related BrainTox legal/support pages. BrainTox is a local-first finance tracker with sarcastic reactions to spending, income, and recurring charges. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App processes and how you can control it.

2. What Data BrainTox Processes

In the current version, BrainTox mainly processes local data on your device, including:

• transactions, incomes, subscription records, categories, currencies, and optional transaction notes;
• App settings, including language, reminder preferences, selected BrainTox tone or toxicity level, and your consent state for that style of content;
• your roast feedback, such as “Funny”, “Neutral”, “Not funny”, or “Report”;
• derived local data such as summaries, reports, spending patterns, and reminder schedules.

If you email support, we receive only the information you choose to include in that message.

3. Local-First Storage and No-Account Model

BrainTox currently follows a local-first model. Core App features do not require account creation, sign-in through third-party accounts, or mandatory cloud synchronization. Your finance records stay on your device unless you choose to export, import, or share them.

Your device or platform may also apply its own system backup mechanisms outside BrainTox settings.

4. Third-Party Services, Analytics, and Advertising

The current mobile version of BrainTox does not use third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or in-app purchase SDKs, and does not collect Advertising ID, IP address, or location data through those SDKs.

Financial records, transactions, and personal notes are not shared with advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting services.

We may add advertising, analytics, crash reporting, or paid features in future versions. If this happens, we will update this Policy, the relevant store/Data Safety disclosures, and any required consent flow before or together with the release of that version.

Separately, when you open this legal site or support pages in a browser, your browser, hosting provider, or services you choose may process standard technical data under their own policies.

5. Reminders, Support, and System Integrations

BrainTox can schedule local subscription reminders and weekly summaries if you enable them. On Android, the App also uses a system restart recovery mechanism to restore local reminders after a device reboot.

Reminder delivery depends on OS permissions, device settings, battery restrictions, and manufacturer behavior.

When you export or import files, open email, or share a backup, those actions are handled by your operating system or the apps you choose, under their own policies.

6. Backups, Export, and Import

The App provides tools to export a JSON backup, export transactions to CSV, and import a JSON backup. All of these actions are initiated by you.

A JSON backup may contain local records, settings, and related internal App data. CSV export is intended for your transaction records.

After an import, local data on the device may be replaced or restored from the file. Store backup files carefully, because anyone with access to the file may be able to read the exported data.

7. Your Controls and Data Deletion

You control your data primarily on-device. In particular, you can:

• edit or delete individual transactions, incomes, and subscription records;
• export a backup before major changes;
• use the “Delete all data” action in App settings to fully clear local storage;
• uninstall the App from your device.

Because the current BrainTox version does not require a centralized account, deleting local data on the device is the primary way to erase it.

8. Children’s Privacy

BrainTox is not intended for children under 13. Because of its sarcastic tone, the App is also not designed for a child audience.

9. Data Security

We aim to protect data reasonably, but no electronic storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for your device security, screen lock, passwords, and safe handling of backup files.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current revision is reflected in the “Last Updated” field. Your continued use of the App after changes are published means you accept the updated version.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, opening related legal/support pages, or using BrainTox on any platform or marketplace, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). You also understand that BrainTox uses sarcastic or sharp humorous commentary about spending decisions, not personal identity or protected characteristics. If that tone is not suitable for you, do not use the App.

Some App flows may also ask you to explicitly confirm that you accept this tone before continuing.

2. License

NexGen Orbit Labs grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable limited license to use the App on your device for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Acceptable Use and Restrictions

You agree:

• not to copy, modify, or distribute the App or its source code without permission;
• not to reverse engineer or decompile the App except where applicable law allows it;
• not to use the App for unlawful purposes;
• not to bypass security, user consent flows, or platform restrictions.

4. BrainTox Tone, Sarcastic Content, and Waiver of Claims

The core feature of BrainTox is providing sarcastic, ironic, and sometimes harsh (“toxic”) commentary (so-called “roasts”) regarding your financial habits and transactions.

By using the App, you understand and unconditionally agree to the following:

• Entertainment Purpose: All comments, jokes, and “roasts” are generated exclusively for entertainment and motivational purposes. They are comedic hyperbole and do not reflect any real assessment of your personality, appearance, social status, or intelligence.
• Potential to Offend: The content may be perceived as rude, blunt, or offensive. If you are sensitive to criticism or dark humor, you should immediately stop using the App or lower the “toxicity level” in the settings.
• Waiver of Claims: You voluntarily waive any claims, complaints, or lawsuits against NexGen Orbit Labs regarding moral damage, emotional distress, defamation, or psychological discomfort caused by the App’s content.
• Not Professional Advice: No comment within the App constitutes professional financial, investment, legal, medical, psychological, or any other kind of advice or consultation.

The App is designed to roast your spending, not you as a human being. You bear full responsibility for how you choose to perceive and react to this content.

5. User Data, Backups, and Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into BrainTox and for keeping your own backups. The App is not intended to store passwords, seed phrases, or other critically sensitive secrets.

Because BrainTox works locally, we may be technically unable to restore data after device loss, file corruption, App removal, or a failed import.

6. Availability, Updates, and Reminders

We may add, change, limit, or discontinue specific App features. Local reminders and summaries depend on OS permissions, system conditions, and device support, so they are not guaranteed in every situation.

7. Monetization, Paid Features, and Subscriptions

The current version of BrainTox does not include in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements within the App interface.

We reserve the right to change our monetization model in future versions, including adding paid features, subscriptions, or advertising. Before enabling such features, we will update this Policy, store/Data Safety disclosures, and the applicable payment terms. Any payments, if added, will be processed through the relevant marketplace (for example, Google Play or App Store) according to its terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” basis without express or implied warranties. We do not guarantee error-free operation, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXGEN ORBIT LABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING DATA LOSS. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you actually paid us for the App, if any.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this page. Your continued use of BrainTox after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the developer’s jurisdiction. Any disputes arising in connection with the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
